Australasian Procurement & Construction Council (APCC)

Several BPIC members participated in the Construction Product Quality Working Group coordinated by the Australasian Procurement & Construction Council. In 2014, the Working Group published the APCC Guide Procurement of Construction Products – a guide to achieving compliance. The Guide provides an important handbook for anyone who designs, purchases, constructs and inspects buildings to understand the product supply chain and to determine the best way to ensure that products are ‘fit for purpose’.

Construction Product Alliance

BPIC is a part of the Construction Product Alliance which has been established following the release of the Australian Industry Group’s report “The quest for a level playing field – The non-conforming building products dilemma.”

BPIC and AiG share the secretariat of the Alliance, which has established a number of working groups that are undertaking further investigation into the building product conformance framework in Australia, and developing information on certification and surveillance schemes that can assist industry and government to improve the way in which building products are managed. Find out more on the Construction Product Alliance website – HERE.
