BUILDING PRODUCTS INNOVATION COUNCIL

The Building Products Innovation Council is Australia’s peak body representing the building material sector and is focused on presenting a unified and coordinated approach to the rapid pace and expanding scope of regulatory change impacting on the Australian building industry.

BPIC has successfully completed a 3 year project, in partnership with the Federal Government, to provide “Australian” Life Cycle Inventory data of building materials to assist Life Cycle practitioners, architects, designers, engineers, builders, developers and regulators to more accurately assess the impact buildings will have on the environment.

This initiative will also significantly assist Australian building materials companies to develop more environmentally sustainable and internationally competitive products through innovation based on accurate information.
